DID YOU KNOW THERE IS AN AUDI TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN FOR YOUR 4.0 TSI?
The turbos on the 4.0TFSI platform have been known to fail due to a faulty design in the original oil screen and check valve. If you have experienced a Turbo failure the restricted oil supply is most likely the cause. If your OEM turbos are still good and you are replacing them for a power upgrade, you should still perform the Technical Service Bulletin 2044640/5 as a preventative measure.

Make sure to perform the recommended Audi TSB 2044640/5 to address the root cause of the turbo charger failure. We also recommed flushing the intercooler to ensure there are no foreign particles in your car’s air tract.

Use the recommended engine oil as specified by Audi for your climate. Your local Audi dealer should be able to provide you with the correct details based on your car’s VIN.

Your first oil change after completing the TSB and turbo upgrade / replacement should be performed at 5000 miles. Regular maintenance after this service needs to be performed in order to ensure proper oil flow to the turbochargers.
