Touring Edition
A true dual 3” T304L stainless steel system with a precision-engineered x-pipe tailored for the RS5’s 2.9TT engine, enhanced by AWE’s proprietary drone-canceling 180 Technology™. This setup delivers a fierce, aggressive sound throughout the rev range while ensuring a drone-free cabin during cruising. RS 5 owners, this is the ultimate upgrade you’ve been waiting for.
Sound Perfection: 180 Technology™ by AWE
As exhaust gases exit the RS 5’s 2.9L engine and enter an AWE 180 Technology™ equipped resonator, they pass through strategically placed ports into reflection chambers. Here, sound waves bounce off the chamber walls. By precisely controlling the size and location of these ports and chambers, we dictate when the sound waves rejoin the main exhaust flow. This precise timing creates a 180-degree out-of-phase sound wave that cancels out unwanted frequencies. Whether you call it science or magic, it’s 180 Technology™ by AWE.
Track Edition
If you crave raw power and a rowdy ride, the Track Edition is your perfect match. This exhaust system retains all the precision engineering of the Touring Edition, including the X-pipe and 3″ diameter tubing, but without the 180 Technology.
Please be aware: the Track Edition can be quite loud, especially in the mid-range and at cruising speeds. This might be too intense for some, so returns due to sound preference are not accepted. Get ready for an exhilarating experience.
Upgrade Options
Looking to crank it up or turn it down? No problem. We have conversion kits to allow you to do just that. Turn your Touring Edition into a Track Edition, or vice versa, with ease.
Tip Options:
AWE Touring and Track Editions come standard with diamond black 180mm RS-style oval tips, complete with stamped AWE logo.
